Welcome to the Cukurova University Faculty of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology web site. Cukurova University is located in Adana, southern Turkey. The Anesthesiology Department was established in 1972 under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Hale Akoğuz. 

We have three main clinical sections (Anesthesiology, Reanimation, and Algology) and four special anesthesiology divisions (Pediatric, Gynecologic and Obstetric, Cardiovascular and Neuro Anesthesia). We administer approximately 12.000 / year anesthetics in 19 operating rooms.

We supervise respiratory care and critical care medicine in reanimation units with 10 beds. We provide treatment of acute and chronic pain in our Pain Clinic.   Our clinical research program ranges from clinical research to experimental studies.
